How to get the telescope

Play hide-and-seek with Catthew to obtain a Fishing License, then catch six different fish for the aquarium's fox, Whiskers. His reward is the invitation to the party upstairs in the Condo's far-right room.

At the door, answer Yellow. Talk to the owl and reassure him about the party. Pick up the telescope in the room. If the invitation is your blocker, the fishing guide separates the six-fish request from the full eighteen-fish collection.

Shed constellation: open the door

1. Return to the small locked shed in the area before the beach.
2. Place the telescope near the shed and look through it.
3. Click the visible stars to form the key-shaped constellation.
4. When the nearby shed unlocks, enter and continue down toward the bones.

This route leads to the Metal Detector. In the bone puzzle, raise the skeletal figures so the bugs can cross, with the upside-down figure's arms out to its sides. Pull the bone rope on the right; after the bugs leave, lower the figure holding the detector and collect it.

The source documents the key constellation but does not establish a universal star click order. Use the visible stars and the door's response as your check.

Beach constellation: Broken Phone route

At the left dock on the beach, use the telescope for a different constellation. The community boss reference places this clue in the first night slot. Connect its stars, then use the Metal Detector in the beach sand to recover the Broken Phone.

The phone is used on the white bird on the lamppost near the Pierrot's booth in Misery Town to trigger an optional encounter called Chimeramanticore. This chain does not replace the shed puzzle and does not unlock the Office phone clue. See the optional boss index before starting the fight.

Office telescope clue: 277-5944

1. Take the telescope to the train/Office entrance near the sleeping figure.
2. Use it to inspect the hidden number: 277-5944.
3. Return to your Office desk and make the call through the computer's Jobs app.
4. Follow the decoded instruction: Behind Stairs Wait A Minute.
5. Stand beneath the stairs near the vending machine for about a minute, then continue through the hidden puzzle route.

The call and wait open the secret path. Finish the symbol room and the encounter beyond it before treating the Office secret as complete. The regional secrets guide covers those boards and the other two Ending C checkpoints.

Telescope questions

Which constellation opens the shed?

The one viewed beside the small locked shed before the beach. The dock constellation is a different clue that leads to digging.

Why did finding the Office number do nothing?

Reading the number is only the clue. You still need to call it through Jobs and follow the stair-wait instruction.

Is the telescope required for all three routes?

Yes, it is the clue-reading tool in each documented chain. The later actions differ: opening a door, digging in sand, or making a call.
